Preparing for a high-altitude trek is crucial to ensure your safety, enjoyment, and success in reaching your trekking destination. Walk slow, proper physical preparation, enough gear, and clothes, altitude acclimatization, Nutrition, and Hydration food, Travel insurance, mental preparation, and weather considerations can play vital roles to adjust in high altitude terrain.
It is better to exchange dollars for Nepali Rupees before heading on the trek because some towns and villages have limited exchange facilities but the rate could be unfavorable. So, it is better to exchange enough money at Kathmandu.
Most of the travelers need a visa while entering Nepal. And visa can be obtained on arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, or at various land border crossings. Indian citizens do need a visa to enter Nepal while other countries need to get visas to enter the border of Nepal.
Citizens from Nigeria, Ghana, Zimbabwe, Swaziland, Cameroon, Somalia, Liberia, Ethiopia, Iraq, Palestine, and Afghanistan can obtain visas from diplomatic missions in their respective countries. They do not get visas on arrival at the immigration entry point of Nepal. Visa extensions are available from the immigration office of Kathmandu Nepal.
Trekking Guides are highly recommended while trekking in Nepal due to various factors such as Navigation and route finding, safety during the trek, enhanced cultural and local knowledge, and Permits and regulations for handling necessary paperwork and documents. Interaction with locals, logistics, environmental responsibility, altitude acclimatization, support, and motivation are the key causes for hiring a guide in Nepal.
While porters carry your heavy bags in high altitude it allows you to focus on the journey without the burden of a heavy backpack[N1] . They assist in emergencies, carry injured or sick trekkers to safety, and provide crucial first-aid support.
Accommodation and food during trekking in Nepal, depending on the region and trekking route. Teahouses and lodges are common along popular trails, offering basic but comfortable rooms and local meals. Higher altitude treks may have fewer options, and you might need to stay in more rustic lodges or campsites. Be prepared for a variety of Nepali dishes, including dal bhat (rice and lentils), momo (dumplings), and noodles, along with international options in some areas. It's advisable to carry some snacks and water purification methods as well.
But if you go off the beaten path and remote trekking trail you need to carry a camping tent, all the food, enough trekking porters, a guide, and a cook with an organized trekking crew overall.

If you are going to experience Nepal, I can warmly recommend Adventure Planner as a travel organizer. We were a group going to Gokyo Lake and Gokyo Ri and the plan was to go over Chola Pass to Everest Base Camp. After Gokyo Ri we chose to change the route back. I can warmly recommend a visit to Khumjung and the Yeti monastery. Many Sherpas from this village travel to Norway every summer to build hiking trails and repair old stone buildings.
A visit to Chitwan National Park and meeting rhinos in their element is a memory of a lifetime. I have been on many safaris in Africa without experiencing this miracle.

From my last trekking back in Oct. 2022, I was wondering should I choose an easy route to Mardi Himal instead of Manaslu circuit, which I think the view is equally beautiful. I seek advice from Narayan and he provided his professional and honest advise to support my decision to choose the Manaslu circuit, which seen to be a good decision. I have a wonderful and memorable trek to Manaslu circuit. The Manaslu view, local cultural, atmosphere which i think is a new experience for me, compare to Annapurna circuit and EBC. I have no regret to choose the Manaslu circuit and I think it worth to visit once in a life time.
I have deal with Narayan a few time, for my last few trek in Nepal. It is easy and peace of mind to deal with Narayan remotely back in my country, even before the trip. We had a great experience with Himalayan Trekking path. We went on a 4 days trek to Mardi Himal with Adventure Planner. It was very short and easy trekking but it was amazing trip and I want to say thanks for director of the company to Narayan.
The guide and porters was very helpful all the way through. Once we came down the mountain we went on a Chitwan Jungle Safari which was a great experience and interesting activity. Our guide was very helpful and knowledgeable. In the animal safari we got to see elephants and during our time in the country we learned a lot about the culture and the people. The local food was mostly vegetarian, but our hotels buffet had more different food options as I believe is more adapted to for tourists. We highly recommend this! I recently completed an unforgettable trek to Everest Base Camp, organized by Narayan, with our guide Rajesh.
It was my first trek, and although it was challenging at altitudes of 4000 meters and above, I am very happy with how it went. Everything went smoothly, thanks to the attention and care of my guide. At one point, I was struggling with altitude sickness, and Rajesh quickly suggested changing the route to make it easier for me. I think it was only because of this that I was able to successfully complete the trek. I appreciated his concern and constant checking of my condition.
